Crystal Shifter Loose

My father drove my vehicle and I’m pretty sure he didn’t grasp concept of how it works and loosened the crystal shifter. It may have been like this already, but would really like to know. Does anyone else’s move like this?

Mine doesn't move. You can remove the plastic cover on the back and tighten it up with a Torx screwdriver (I forget the size).
