Does 40i LCI m sport have real quad exhaust

What I mean is 4 pipes coming out of real exhaust covered by a “frame” in front. Noticed this on the X7 LCI and kinda saw it on autogefuhl review of the back. Its quite dark but I (think) I saw it. This model is potraying m performance parts but who knows…

can't tell from the photo in your post if that's a 4.0i but looks like quad exhaust, typical of a 5.0i motor, so I'm presuming it'll be the exhaust for the new M60i. The configurator is up for the 2024 X5 and when I selected the M Sport Professional, the exterior view of the new X5 rear (see pic) shows blacked out exhaust trim but not a quad pipe arrangement (two pipes each side). Still, I hope that the option does include a louder, better sounding exhaust for the 4.0i.

Thats a 40i in the video, photos taken from the video in BMW Welt in Munich. There are some more taken by another person. Theyre “quad” for the 40i LCI, 50e has dual.

rear carbon diffuser, my guess is that's the M performance exhaust and that the car is showcasing a bunch of M Performance goodies. doubt stock will come with a quad tip.

also notice the m perf wheels, brakes(cross drilled and slotted rotors), etc. not a stock car.

I saw on dealers lot recently two X7 LCI 40i with m package they both had the same exhaust (same engine I guess). I doubt that performance exhaust would look so “unfinished”. Other performance goodies I agree with. I am quite confident but we shall see.

i have a 2023 X7 lci 40i with MSport and Msport professional (inc the msport exhaust) and i only have a single exhaust tip in each surround. here's my 40i lci (left) parked next to an M60i lci:

Thank you! Wow, i will try to post photos of the X7 LCIs as I need to visit the dealer. Am clueless now what is the rule here

40i never did quad. Thats 50/60i and M

All the sport performance exhaust does is change the resonator for a smaller one iirc.

Please check the autogefuhl video on X5 40i. Its clearly a 40i not M60i and it has quad (looks like m60i exhaust). Unfortunately dealer car X7LCI was out so could not take photos. Will take photos and also have the VIN to check options on the car.

I received an official confirmation, sport package pro with 40i get “quad” exhaust which is why the one at BMW Welt has it.

BMW doesn't make a 4.0i.

As far as the 40i is concerned, we have not seen information that it will be.
