An Expensive Trip To The Dealership

Well...I only went into my local dealership to pick up my (UK) 2022 X5 40i xDrive after having all the sunroof seals replaced under warranty to cure the sunroof leak, for the 3rd time and I ended up ordering a new X5 M60i xDrive LCI....how did that happen.

Tanzanite Blue.
Gloss Black Wheels.
Tartufo/Black full Merino leather.
Carbon Fibre interior trim.
Ultimate Pack.
Air Suspension.
Trackstar Tracker.
Mat Protector Pack.

Hopefully it'll be ready September'ish.

True story from several years ago when I had the first 850 coupe in this area: I bring my new car (purchased after I happened to see it during a service visit for my previous car - a service/purchase phenomenon that admittedly tends to occur with some regularity) back to the BMW dealer for installation of some accessories and I happen upon the brand new convertible version of my three-month-old car and - true story - I tell my long-term service advisor that I was looking over that new convertible and he says, I swear to God: “I wasn’t supposed to let you go to that part of the building. The last time your wife was here, she told me not to let you go to the showroom, and she wasn’t smiling."

Yes, will do a report back on it shortly when I have had it a month, not in depth but observations.
I have the trackstar fitted, only issue is that you get a couple of discs that are for your keys, if you want to use key card or phone for driving car you have to have one of the discs on you which sort of defeats the object. If there is anything I can help with send me a PM.

Congrats! Pretty impressive you can do it. I don’t think I’ll ever be rich enough to be able to impulse buy “any” car, let alone a fully loaded X5! Cheers all around on your success 🥂🫡
