Sports plus mode 0-60 weird incident.

Hi all. Tried 0-60 with sport plus mode and around the 2-3 second I have experienced a strong hold back (with a weird sound) of the car which didnt let it accelerate. I stopped the car immediately. After that i was driving with the adaptive mode without any problems. Really worrying incident. Anyone else experience this?

did you happen to have it in Manual mode and didn't up shift? If this is not the case I've never heard of anything like that.

No. It was in automatic mode. It was really weird. Hope it doesn't happen again.

You should probably go to your dealer. Did you happen to see any error messages? If not they will be able to connect and see what happen. So go get it checked out.

If anything, you would want it to happen multiple times in order to have it addressed at the dealer. I hope the ECU records such odd behaviors. Good luck.

I'm not sure if this was related to the turbos of the car. Hope not. To be honest I didn't expect such reaction from a car of this class. And now I'm a bit reluctant to push it to its limits in fear that this will happen again. Cross fingers that it was a one off incident.

did you by any chance have Lim (Speed Limiter) button on?

This would be my guess. Check your idrive settings too.

Where is the speed limiter button? I didnt find it in the car settings? In anyway I have tried again the 0-60 with sports plus (3 times in a row) and it was ok.

was traction control off or on? if you want to launch the car DSC off (hold the traction button for 8-10s) produces faster times than just TSC off with the factory launch control.
