Im still stuck on 11/2022. It’s been transferred to my car but is still waiting to install and has been for months now. I think there is a problem, may have to take it in again!

I downloaded the latest upgrade and I have this notice on my screen for over a week now. Should I be doing something to push the upgrade??

Mine has been like that for months - have a service booked in soon and have asked the dealer to manually update while its in for service!

Will some confirm . I have the ASS button on the console. I do not have the mild hybrid engine. The software update alert is for 03/3023.50. Since owners are stating that Bimmercode has no effect on the ASS function any longer, will the ASS button still work? My understanding from the post is that the system no longer remembers the last setting so it would need to be selected each time.

Had the same thing happen to me. Then today I was parked on the street to check the mailbox (we have a central one) the software upgrade message finally popped up when I stepped out to get the mail. But I was parked on the road. Couldn’t stay there for 20 minutes. She I pulled off into the parking lot nearby. It hasn’t come back on since. Anybody have any idea when it may show up again? 😠

Yes, you can do that. The only time they have to install an update is when they are diagnosing/fixing an issue or doing a recall.

Could you please let me know which is the "dim instrument cluster fix" solve? I have noticed some problems with dimming on certain circumstances but just wanted to know what are you refering to.

I had this for not weeks - but MONTHS!
Took my car in for a service last week and they did it manually for me. Asked what the issue was and they said the battery has to be at a certain charge level for the update to begin. As my car is generally a weekend car and is not used very much, my battery is probably at a lower voltage then required, hence why the update never installs for me.

To put things into perspective, I have a Sept 2019 car, with a current mileage of 13,600!
My mileage for the past year was just over 2,500 lol

Its been recommended for me to get a battery tender/charger and condition the battery 2 or 3 times a year, which I'm now looking to do.

You're out of warranty, so replacing the battery is a lot more money than a battery tender. Without one on my first BMW, the OEM battery was replaced by the dealer at one year. WIth a battery tender, the next one lasted 7-years. You decide.

Don't feel bad. Mine is a 2021 (purchased in Dec 2020) and this morning, it has 7,401 miles!

mine won't transfer to the car. It has downloaded to the app, and keeps saying (inside the app, not the car) " Step 2 UPLOAD ...transferring, in progress". Been like that for 2 months. I've cleared it 5 times and restarted the download, and deleted the app twice to move the update along. But it's stuck at this step.

Android - and just today it worked. I saw the message pop up on my car when i left my house, and pulled over to a mall and let it run. Can't believe I literally been waiting weeks and weeks - someone here hack my car to make it work? LOL

I was in the same boat. I'd been waiting for it to upload to the car for the past 2+ weeks or so and just yesterday I got a message on myBMW saying that the update would expire soon and immediately after that, it got transferred to the car and updated successfully. Weird. One of those BMW glitches.
