Apple carplay issue.
1. When Apple carplay is active i cannot use bmw voice commands, for example to call someone...
2. When Apple carplay is active and i want to Shazam a song from radio, i open the app on the phone and the radio goes silent... when i press a radiostation it says "speech dialogue".when i close the app the radiostation works fine again.... frustrating! |

Or you can say "Hallo BMW" When you are on CarPlay mode, CarPlay handles the calls. So you should use Siri (long press the button) to make a call and not idrive. |

if the phone is connected via CarPlay, Siri is used for voice commands. if the phone is connected via iDrive, the BMW personal assistant (ie "hello BMW") is used for voice commands.

Unless something changed, long pressing the voice command button still activates whatever personal assistant exists on the phone. So via BT only, no CarPlay, long press should still yield Siri.
