It's much more chip resistant than regular paint. It absorbs a lot of the rocks, self heals on small chips, and also can be ceramic coated .... which I've done twice.

And here I was thinking Miami blue on my dad's car was daring.
Props to being different.

So you chose orange color to bring the orange peel effect to life.. 😅
Just kidding. Looks amazing.!! From what I've been noticing on a few of the shots from insta, the sprayed surface texture on this dip application is pretty significant.. It isn't a deal breaker, but would be annoying personally. |

Wonder if it comes off in one continuous piece or if you're left with hundreds of small little orange bits everywhere that you have to pick off one by one? In 5 years please post an update.
Looks great and nice to prevent paint chips. May consider on a future vehicle vs a $5k plus full Xpel wrap. |

RoseCity did do our dips, and Autoflex will have a level of orange peel if you look really close or hit the right lighting, just like BMW factory paint has orange peel as well. The nice thing about Autoflex is you can cut and buff to a mirror finish just like paint. As for my orange X5M, its barely noticeable in person, but might do it later when the weather gets nicer. But it’s bright enough already, not sure the added smooth gloss mirror effect is needed.

Does it have some sort of clear coat on top? I mean, unless the color is embedded in the vinyl.. how can it self-heal?

Looks incredibly well done. Might do this to my new next car. Kind of cool having it one color and then being able to remove it and have fresh paint and another color in 3 or 4 years.
