HUD defaults to ROAD view

Anyone else having trouble getting their HUD to show "SPORT" instead of "ROAD"?

Even after selecting sport, my HUD only shows road view.

Check this setting, it’s likely set to “off”

Was searching around for the same answer. Interestingly enough I can't seem to find the above option on my '21 Comp

Its the most confusing, most retarded menu ever that I thought was a bug. Turns out its for configuration only, in order to actually switch the view you have to press the "M Mode" button on the center console.

So at the end of the day, the only way to view the Sport HUD is in M Mode correct?

There is a "M Mode" button on the center console, all it does is switch the instrument cluster and the HUD view type. In the previous generation X6/5M the view was changed through the idrive menu. And don't confuse the "M Mode" button with the "M" buttons.

I have to say, that the current generation i-drive is very bloated and convoluted. I've owned a BMW with every version of i-Drive, and I loved 2-6, while the latest version 7 is almost as bad as the original one.

That's not all it does. It also disables a number of assist systems.

Took delivery of the car a couple days ago.... dude this computer needs a class or something. 😂 getting used to it now but for a while I was confused why my seats and steering wheel were always automatically set before I touched anything.

I absolutely hate this feature.. previous models you can select your HUD between M1-M2 buttons which made sense.. why BMW this away is beyond me.. almost defeats the purpose of these buttons entirely as you're adding another inconvenient task of looking down on center console to find M mode and switch it.. i was about to go to dealer as it feels like something was wrong with my Idrive..

The convoluted options on this idrive are almost as equivalent epic fail on BMW part as those front grilles on G8X chassis..

Guys

Does anyone have this issue, when you switch to sport mode and the manual transmission. There are a small black box hiding number 4 when you get gear up recommendation. Check the picture.
I spoke to my dealer and the will change the whole cluster as recommended from manufacture
