BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Does anyone have any photos of cognac vernasca with poplar matte trim? Curious what the combo looks like. Thanks!

I have this combination in production now. Here are photos I took of one on the lot. As always, the leather looks more orange in photos.

Agreed! Family hates the cognac leather but I love the contrast against all the dark grey/black trim. I love the coffee but, for me, it doesn't go as well with the black on the backs of the seats. The poplar really sets it all off and I much prefer it to the glossy options.

Doesn't cognac has a SOP of April?

I'm not sure on the history of it, but this thread suggests it may have become available in December:

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1679495

Might be the Tartufo Merino for April. The current online build tool forces you into the Luxury Seating Package if you choose the Cognac Vernasca, which I did.

It was definitely available in late December and I can personally confirm that. My first X5 order, which I built in December and placed an order for on January 11, had cognac interior. It arrived at dealer on February 15.

Canadian order guide indicates a SOP of 04/20.

Unless there's supply chain issue and BMW prioritized US order over Canadian ones.

Interesting. Here it is straight from the dealer's website too.

Cognac was available before as someone on this forum posted pictures etc.

My theory is that BMW suspended it temporarily and plan to reintroduce it April 2020 with prioritize US order. What showed in the picture is either an older built or the few new ones that they just started to reintroduce.

I have a carbon black m50i with Cognac interior on order. My dealer also told me SOP 04/20. I am in Montreal Canada.

The photos are of the first X5 I ordered. Prod date is Jan. 18 2020. But you're right, they might be giving priority to US orders.

Can't find a production date or window sticker on this one, but per the previously posted thread, cognac vernasca became available in December for the 2020s. I have a build date of 11 March with cognac.

I prefer coffee in person. Pics can be very deceiving. Coffee can look a little bland in pictures but you will be surprised how classy it looks in person. I have seen all of them in person, cognac, tartufo and coffee and it was an easy choice for me.

This is my exact interior combo and I'm literally losing my patience waiting for it to arrive at the dealer any day now! 😩 Thanks for sharing. Your photos confirm I absolutely made the right choice with coffee merino and poplar 😊

Yours is gorgeous! Ivory white was my favorite but I quickly ruled it out based on inevitable traffic of kids and dogs. I was completely set on coffee until I sat in one with cognac while trying to confirm my preference for the poplar matte trim. At that moment, the cognac just felt right and I changed my selection. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them!

Looking forward to picking mine up in April so I can post photos as well.

Thanks, I preferred a brown interior that was slightly darker and classy. I have 2 kids so it works out well. The lighter interior can start to look rough with kids traffic/usage. Personally with a mineral white car I liked a slightly darker interior. But everyone is different!

You will really love it!

In person it feels and looks very solid. The pictures don't do justice.
