Has anyone ever cancelled an order?
Placed an order for a 2024 x5 xdrive40i about ten days ago and my dealer confirmed a week 27 build. I'm going to be out of town this weekend and found an available '24 x5 that matched about 95% of my custom build that I'm considering purchasing to avoid the wait. Has anyone done this in the past? Any regrets?

Many people have cancelled an order under similar situations and I'm sure some have regretted it. Really has no effect on you though, what does is if you can live with the 5% that doesn't match or if it will continuously be on your mind. Given you asked the question, I would say pass on the purchase and wait for the one you ordered.

Is your deposit refundable? My dealer required a $2500 nonrefundable deposit to order

I think that as long as it is not at 150, the dealer should not have a problem with refunding even if it is "non-refundable".

My dealer required no deposit on my X5 M60i that is built but not delivered yet. Other dealerships within a few hours of me did require deposits but were refundable.
