BMW black doesn’t photograph well, imo. In light it looks washed out, a medium gray. If you go to the South Africa configurator you’ll see an accurate representation of what they look like except they forgot to include the wrinkles in those pics...

LOL. But... I thought the wrinkles were an "intentional feature!"

Why would BMW not want to highlight such a great feature on their demo pics and demo vehicles?

I can only assume that it’s done that way because we’re approaching Christmas and this is BMW’s way of giving those folks in South Africa a wonderful gift for Christmas. Just imagine the squeals of joy when they unwrap their new X5 and find out that they weren’t left out after all in receiving the fabulous new rear “comfort seat leather”... this is sooo thoughtful... I know, right?
