The issue with most of the ones from eBay is that they chip quickly over time as they are just painted black. Typically the factory OEM ones are actual black plastic.

This is the one most people are talking about: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F283468032800 and it is, in fact, black ABS with an additional gloss black finish. This is the one there are lots of threads about.

Yea, it’s black plastic with gloss over top. It matches the hue and gloss of the stock shadowline trim perfectly. It matches so good that you could almost say this could be a future oem grill as BMW outsources their grills anyway so who knows if this company makes them???

I've placed the order but was told that it will be arriving at BMW Germany on 6 August and then another 2 weeks for it to be shipped to Bombay, India.
