Hi,
must say I am impressed that you have been given the opportunity to order this hybrid. Do you have any details about equipment / prices that you can share with us? There is no information on BMW's website, not in Germany or other European countries ...
Norwegian retailers know nothing, they have been predicted information about price / delivery at the earliest end of March in the month ....

69k EUR before taxes? Is it 69k EUR plus 21% VAT? In Germany 40i version starts around 72k EUR including 19% VAT. If your price is really without VAT, then the price difference between 40i and 45e is significant.

This of course may depend on the market.

There is indeed a significant price difference, but on hybrid the full pneumatic suspension is included.

Is anything cheaper on a hybrid, i know the last one had navi pro standard but now all models have it standard. So this one gets the suspension which helps but anything else? Thanks for the info

I have also ordered a 45e in Luxembourg, delivery end of September.
Pneumatic suspension is standard.
I caved and took the laser light. Together with many other gadgets!

Thats pretty cool, i think its cause its a hybrid, i3 has it also. I love that feature but unfort on my current car did not make it priority wise. I think the hybrid will be awesome, like my cars loaded, starting price of this one scares me a bit though. I think each of my BMWs had more and more extras. Thinking about Azurite Blue this time around which just shows me how far I am willing to go

Indeed, that sucks, I ordered x5 45e and was hoping to get m sport exhaust since I have it on my car right now as well and I like it but I'll check for alternatives (legal ones) by the time the car would arrive and I still got plenty of time since that will only be in 2020

In an article on auto-motor und sport was mentioned that battery capacity of 45e will be 24 kW. Same battery as X1 L 225e for Chinese market. I had a Q7 e-tron with 17 kW battery capacity where I could drive 31 miles so I guess 43 mi will be possible as range.

So, X5 45e would have different battery than 745e? 745e will get 12 kWh battery and range 54 km.

X Models have more space for the batteries due to the higher seating position.

Probably that's why the X1 and X5 have that battery.

But strange that the X3 does not get that same one then

This would be great in the US. A battery that size would make the 45e eligible for the entire federal tax credit.

Can anyone who has access to detailed European pricing tell us exactly what the difference in bare price is between the 40i and the 45e? I am trying to make an educated guess about what kind of a premium the 45e will command once it becomes available. Also, does anyone remember how much more the 40e’s base was than a 35i in 2017?

Sorry - but seems like an odd item to install on a hybrid... if this new version truly can get 45 miles via batter0... the engine will often not be running.

11,000 Euro difference seems massive. I would presume it's because the 45e has a lot of equipment as standard. We know that it will have 2-axle air suspension as standard. Looks like a lot of other things, as well. Perhaps BMW is positioning the 45e as their flagship in Europe. Is the X7 just a little overkill for Europe? It certainly is for me. I can buy a lot of petrol for 11,000 euro, but I probably wouldn't buy a "no options" 40i, either.

What is the maximum duration BMW FS will allow extension of a lease while awaiting an ordered car? Our 2017 X5 lease ends in December. The X5 45e is the ideal car for our needs. I have a reservation for the Audi e-tron, but 204 mile range is too short for comfortable longer distance driving. The Tesla Model X is not a consideration. I also am looking at the new Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid, but pricing easily runs north of $100K with typical options, including many that are standard on X5. We live in DC, so in addition to the $7500 (assumed based on reported battery size) Federal tax credit, we do not pay sales tax on a purchase of a PHEV rated at 40 mpg or more by EPA for city driving.

I recall that I extended a BMW lease for a few months while awaiting delivery of a European Delivery 5 series about 10 years ago, but I don't know the maximum extension.

Thanks. Not sure 6 months will be enough given current uncertainty regarding release date. Fingers crossed.
