Damn, that doesn't look good at all. Looks like it was done on a budget. It's the first Homage car that looks a production BMW with some crap slapped onto it. Gotta say, wheels are very nice though.

Regardless of how the concept looks (I kind of like it), those wheels are a win. Finally a (really) good looking set of wheels from BMW - I see it as a modern CSL intepretation - after the abominations created for their M Performance line and for the M4 GTS.

Hopefully they bring those wheels into production.

I like it. Some very cool design cues. And a way better implementation than the last hommage concept IMO. Certainly seems to be transitioning to something more "production ready" than previous cars.

Waiting for an M2 or M4 CSL. Although surely I won't be able to get my hands on one.

The design looks pretty good for a concept car.

I love that it's so ugly and different. BMW's round here are so common that I'd like something that stands out a good bit more.

There are some characteristics that I would say are bold/striking however in terms of calling it beautiful, I can't.. And whoever says it's better looking than an M2, I struggle to see why you say that..
Three things I do like about this car though >

- CCB
- Mirrors (yes I'm on that bandwagon)
- The wheels (they look fucking wild)

Everything the M2 should've had (the wheels were not a bad point on the m2 however would've been nice to see dedicated designed wheels just for it)

As far as a tribute, I can see what they did there! Just don't make it :

Here you go. Looks domestic, great job BMW for manufacturing a German car that looks like a charger that was modified by the fast and the furious franchise. Fantastic. Here I'll change my emoji

In short, the concept's appearance doesn't pay tribute to the 2002 because it doesn't even come close to the DNA of a German automobile. It's frustrating when designers try to be innovative by accommodating to the masses. Hence, if it's a bmw , make it look like one. The i8 looks more European than this disgrace. It doesn't even remind me of the legendary 2002 except for the turbo emblem. I never accused domestic cars as being inferior to German cars. Even though they are.

I get what they're trying to do but IMO this is a very average neo-retro design. proprtions and detailing are very awkward... Im sure some elements will be seen in the M2 CSL though...

idk , i kinda have mixed feelings about it, I see where they are going with it, a little touch up work in the front like brining the headlight area bit more and lower lipe a little behind and a few curves , and..... * claps hands and wipes off dust* vola
