Dizzy during WOT?
Had a neck injury way back but its fine now. However in the past two months Ive been getting a little light headed and almost dizzy when I got WOT. 335 with jb3 on map 5. By the time I reach 50 or 60mph I have to let off the gas because I can feel myself dizzy and light headed and dont feel safe continuing to accelerate.
There is a track day coming up and now im unsure whether or not I should attend. I tried putting my head on the headrest when I start WOT but that didnt help. Anybody experience anything like this before?

well this may sound stupid but you could be dehydrated alot. especially if you dont drink enough water. i know that when you are dehydrated if your sitting down and then you stand up all of a sudden you will feel light headed.

Yeah of course ill be checking with my doctor who helped with my neck injury. Im not dehydrated, I drink lots of water. I hope its nothing lingering from my messed up disc. Im going to get some of my friends with quick cars to let me sit passenger and see if it happens then as well. Maybe im developing motion sickness?
Thanks, ill have to see about my eyes as well. Never thought about that. My brother and mother suffer from migraines and the migraines were bad enough to affect my brother in the army. Maybe im getting those, cause my bro said it can affect his driving. Never had them before though.

nah sometime this week. I called and he said its probably just vertigo or motion sickness that can develop as you get older and most likely the cartilage stuff from my slipped disc isnt fully healed so its rubbing or something and can make you dizzy.
lol but he also said why dont I just stop doing WOT from a standstill. That aint gonna happen!

haha no i dont think so.
Apparently its just my disc aggravating the nerve as its healing and the g force puts pressure on the nerve. Nothing to worry about.

probably a nerve or something in the neck... when you floor it w/t that much torque it's going to jerk and pinch the nerve in your neck, but for sure call the Dr.. Until then get someone to drive you around...

Weird, my brother went through this exact thing. So around Thanksgiving time he felt dizzy while driving on the freeway so he pulled over and we went to pick him up. Then he was fine but experienced it again about 2 weeks later. He went to the doctor 3 times and they said it was just vertigo/motion sickness. The doctor said that his blood pressure and all that were fine so it was nothing major. He even had a blood test done and they didn't find anything noteworthy (4th trip to doctor just to learn the results :P).
The Doc also said it might just be a bacteria infection affecting his balance. For the first month or so he was still experiencing vertigo while at work. He's not been driving since then in fear of crashing so we've been taking him to work and back. I personally think it's all psychological. Sometimes when you worry about something or just do too much of something your body becomes imbalanced. It's like now he's afraid of driving because of what happened. However, I put my foot down when he asked me to take him to work last week so it forced him to drive. He's been okay so far so hopefully he will get over it. I still don't know exactly if it's just vertigo/motion sickness or something else but it's been about 3 months. He might have been over it already but was just afraid to drive, who knows. I mean so far he hasn't felt dizzy or anything like that. I'm still curious about it though so let me know if you find something out from your doctors. |

lol, i definitely dont need more sleep I think i sleep too much.
The doc said its just a nerve from the slipped disc injury a while back and it should go away when it heals completely. I think I started training and p90x too soon after the injury when the disc wasnt healed properly.
