Progress pic from Day 1 on Monday. It looks sick!
Had to get some touch up paint for a couple preexisting imperfections & waiting for IND paint matched reflectors to arrive tomorrow. Should hopefully receive the finished product by Friday and will upload pics.

Stealth PPF on CB looks so good! Probably the first X5 in CB covered in stealth PPF that I've seen. Great job

Amazing !!! What does ceramic do to the ppf ? Same as paint to help clean ? Shop is quoting an extra $2k USD for ceramic on top of the PPF.

Greatly appreciate it. Still scratch my head at BMW calling this color carbon black when during the day it’s an obvious deep blue. Maybe it was an overcast day when it came time to name the color. Lol

$2k on top of PPF 😱 that’s highway robbery in my opinion. The shop I went to only charged ~$400 and it was pretty much a package deal to get both.
Personally ceramic makes cleaning much easier. PPF might appear dirty but with a microfiber towel and some detail spray all bugs/grime and water stains just wipe right off… it’s one of the coolest things.

Id think of your driving habits and environment which you will most likely commute. I know from my previous vehicle that rock chips from highway driving, daily bug/insect massacres (car vs bug), and FL rain - make mainting your daily driver clean, damn near impossible. Reasons I invested in full PPF.

FL 25% of the year:
1. Rain wets car
2. Rain brings bugs
3. Bug killed by car
4. Sun bakes bug guts on car
5. Repeat 1-4 next day

+1 to this. $2k addition to the PPF is highway robbery! That’s typically the price for full paint correction and about 2-3 coats of ceramic on top of that. But once you put PPF, your car doesn’t need the paint correction and just the application on top of it. That shop that did my PPF charged about $500 for my ceramic coating which included two coats plus all the wheels (including calipers). It’s also a buddy’s shop so he gave me a homie hookup. But price shouldn’t deviate that much from this similar to what you paid for the package deal. X5MBlue it’s definitely worth trying to do this yourself. Buy yourself a bottle and check out all the YouTube vids for this as well

Stunning. What did you pay for full stealth PPF? Wife has a CBM X6, and really digs the stealth look.

I'm curious on the bigger panels like the front quarter panels, do they remove the emblems and place new ones on ?
