Any changes with the 25? I thought the change generally happened in July.

So I wanted to order the Ti and CF exhaust tips installed at the factory but they tell me i cannot have them as they are backordered. I see them for sale at some vendors, not sure it they actually have them in stock. Has anyone added these after the car was built?

Yes, I ordered the Carbon Fiber Exhaust tips and a few other carbon parts from IND Distribution and had the dealer install them when my car arrived. They were the only place that had the tips in stock, and they had about 4 or 5 if I remember correctly. They are still showing on their website, so I'd call and place the order as soon as possible if you want them. I tagged them on this post as well. Great guys and good customer service!

Thank you. I wish I could have just ordered them on the car, it would have been a lot less expensive. Now I am thinking about maybe going with an aftermarket exhaust and using the tips that come with it instead.

Anyway, production on the car started today so I should know something in a few weeks.

Finally the decision is yours, but as you said I have the lane change assist and ACC in my other car and I have rarely used it on Freeways. So while I was initially not happy, to not have got the DAP, I do not regret the decision now.

I agree. I have it and I feel there’s a time and place for everything. I love driving and love to drive my x5mc but stop and go traffic and coming home from work exhausted is not one of those times. Plus the cars so expensive what’s the difference? You are trying to save a few bucks? Come on. You’re in for a penny you’re in for a pound. Why short change yourself. It’s a nice feature you don’t know you’re missing until you try it. I don’t cut corners when I buy something high end like this. Line to short for that IMO.

yeah, having had DAPP on my last 2 cars, i explicitly filtered out cars without it when looking. the cognitive load drop is real, and it's pretty awesome on the highway. no, you can't really use it in the city.

Well, my X5M is at the dealer less than a month after I ordered it. People on my Porsche forum have their Cayennes stuck in the port or delayed with a stop sale so I am glad I ordered a BMW. Now I have to go out of town for work all week and will not be able to pick it up until Saturday. It is going to be a long week!

I did not order the Active Driving Assistant option, It does not seem like something I need. Is this a mistake? Did I miss something?

Thanks,
I'm in the market for one. Are they current selling at MSRP? or can a deal be had at this point?

I was able to get 3-4k off but the biggest gain was getting a high trade in value and finding a dealer that had an allocation. Mine should be here in about 2 weeks!

Plus you saved Sales Tax. If you were to sell yours to a private buyer the Sales Tax you paid when you bought it would have to be written off entirely...when you trade a car in at a dealership, Sales Tax is applied only to the difference between the trade-in value to the new car value...the more expensive the car, the bigger the difference / savings and that's really the only way some of the Sales Tax initially paid can be recovered...

This of course only works if the trade-in value is at least market, which during economic growth is never the case...

$4K off MSRP. I thought my trade in would be with more but they showed me the numbers and what they offered seemed fair. Saved me another $6K in taxes.

2cents. Bowers upgraded sound system is a must.
While I think the Bowers upgrade looks spectacular, I actually think the base HK sounds significantly better. I have the Bowers in my M5 and the base HK in my wife’s X7 M60i…I would take her system all day over mine. I just ordered a ‘25 X5M for April production and I did not buy the Bowers. My salesman said I’m the 4th person in the last few months that has been disappointed by the Bowers system…especially for the price.

Like a camera upfront to record driving? It’s built in. Not sure what package is needed….my wife’s X7 M60i has it.

It has arrived, picked it up yesterday and I could not be happier. I got rid of the rear reflectors and covered the front reflectors with dark film, I cannot really think of anything else I need to do to it right now.

I had the wheels ceramic coated so hopefully there will not be much dust.

The more I look at it the more I think it needs to be lowered. Too much fender gap.

Hate to say ceramic is not gonna help with that dust. These are my wheels on my 24 before and after isweep and lowered.
