the Digital Key for Apple Wallet began in specific vehicles produced July 2020 onward. my wife's G30 was a March 2020 build and just missed it.

It looks like there can only be 1 digital key per vehicle, is that correct? I had to "share" my iPhone digital key with my wife, she couldn't create on her own otherwise. I was hoping that just like fobs, if we could have 2 digital keys, they could remember the driver and activate the profile automatically.

Just got my Daughter a 2021 G20 and due to the supply issues the wireless charging and digital key were deleted from the build and received a $200 credit. I'm looking to retrofit the wireless pad but I had heard that digital won't work, something to due with door handle.

are you sure Digital Key was deleted? folks have confirmed although wireless charging is deleted, they still have NFC capability for both Digital Key and digital key card in their MY22 cars.

there is an NFC sensor in the driver door handle which makes sense will not be present if Digital Key really is deleted.

On my build sheet you can see separately the wireless charging was removed and so was the digital key. I assumed both went hand in hand. I was also told but can't verify the NFC in the handle would not be present.

I can confirm that for my 2021 45e built in June, I lost Wireless charging, but Digital keycard still works.

There is a Digital Key Tray shortage. My 2022 540i has it deleted on the window sticker however my 2021 X5 has it.

Wow! I picked up my 22 M50i yesterday - the dealer told me I did not have a NFC card. Thanks to this post I just now found it in the visor! I would have probably never have noticed!

The Genius at the dealership tried for about 30 minutes to get my Apple Wallet to work to no avail but I was able to do it when I got home.

I am kinda mad I didn't get the cup coolers (really was looking forward to that) but happy I just found the digital key card
