Looks amazing... did they apply new OEM emblems over the wrap?

I just checked with my wrap guy. The OEM emblems were removed prior to wrapping and then the same emblems were placed back on the car after the wrap was completed.

I don’t get what is different. Wasn’t the car always carbon black?

No change in car color. The car was fully wrapped with STEK paint protection film and ceramic coating.

Are there any before photos? I heard ceramic does make it shine more.

I'm sorry no. Yes ceramic makes it shine more. The STEK ppf has a glossy finish as well.

Wow, didn't realize you already unloaded your X5MC, but welcome to the M50i club

I feel the M50i is the Goldilocks for many folks. This being my wife's car, she never took advantage of her previous X5M (F85) and this seemed like a nice compromise for the two of us.

Thanks! I had ordered this M50i in January. It got delayed and then I saw the X5MC in early March and "had to have it". Great vehicle but the ride was just too stiff for me. I wanted more comfort so when my ordered M50i showed up in late May, I traded in the X5MC and picked bought my original order. An expensive lesson but I'm thrilled with the M50i as I had expected to be when I ordered it. Just got a bit overexcited when I saw the X5MC at the dealer.

I noticed you spec'd your M50i with 20" and not the largest available wheel. I wonder if you would have felt different about the X5MC had there been a smaller wheel option.

Maybe? I tried changing out the tires on the X5MC to higher profile tires but that didn't help enough. Having said that, the M50i feels perfect for me so I'm very happy except of course for the financial hit I incurred trading in the M but I'm just trying to forget about that part...

Oh that was you again who changed tires. Unfortunate it was enough for you. Anyway, don't beat yourself up too badly about the financial hit. Life's too short! I once bought a new Volvo Polestar wagon back in 2014 (the limited ones) and kept it for less than a month! It was too small, and ended up back in a new X5 (F15). Lol

Hi,

I'm also from Long Island. How is your wrap holding up? Do you mind sharing the installer and cost?

Thanks!
