Currently in my F15 I have my 9500ix hardwired into the power source behind the plastic cover behind the rear view mirror with a little 6" or so cord. Is this something that is possible on the G05 or can it only be wired down the A pillar into the main fuse box?

It's possible. I wired my dash cam this way. You need to drop the map light console and there a bunch of harness back there. You can just pop in to the back of a connector with a tap.
