I’ve been using Spotify for months now, and it works well. We’re going on vacay so I got my wife to set up the BMW app, pair her phone, etc., great, no problem. HOWEVER, when she is using her key (and her profile), Spotify is locked and can’t gain access unless she sets up an account.
She doesn’t want an account, so how do we listen to Spotify while she is using her BMW profile?

Only idea that comes to mind is to register your Spotify account on her BMW profile. There is a 50/50 chance that Spotify will treat it as another unique registered device on your Spotify account and keep both registrations (your profile and her profile) unique and distinct. Worth a shot.

Easiest option would be to play it on your phone and stream it to the car via Bluetooth. You can have multiple phones connected simultaneously to the car if you have the " enhanced Bluetooth" option. This is what my wife does when she wants to listen to a specific song on Spotify when I'm driving.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I thought this was going to be seamless with individual key fobs and individual profiles, but so far NOT.
This is our first long drive (1100 miles) and I have to say this car rocks! Much less fatigue than making that same drive in the 4Runner, and we were pulling a light trailer. About 20 mpg., which is a bit disappointing, but with the weight, probably about right.
