Departure Climate Timer

What setting am I missing that the car blows warm air, not cool when I use the iOS app to activate "departure climate timer"?

It just recirculates the existing air inside the car AFAIK.

It blows the hot air out and fresh air in. Doesn't really make sense to recirculate air. If you have remote start or a 45e it also cools.

I had the pre ventilation option without cooling on my last car and it worked. The worst heat is out. If outside temp is too high the effect will be less. It doesn't turn on the AC.

The pre cooling on the 45e is better off course. The car is really cooled after 10 minutes.

If you have the "Remote Engine Start" option (1CR), then the only setting you might be missing is to allow it within the preconditioning setup. This video does a nice job of outlining it: Starting your vehicle using remote engine start – BMW How-To.

Thanks, that should fix my problem.

I have not used this for months, but hitting triple digit heat it is much needed now. I suppose a FM ug changed that setting.
