My question is if it takes 5 days to make the car , if QC to fix stuff is more than 5 days should they not just try to make it a second time and crush the first one might be faster!

Mine is at "Dispatched From Factory" - still unable to download the User Guide using my VIN

Mygarage still says awaiting carrier assignment. So I took Heinzena's advice and called Genius and he told me that my car was moved to the carrier's lot on the 12th and will probably get to the dealer on the 18th.
Even if not on the 18th, definitely next week.

It definitely feels like regardless of where some of these cars are in the process they are flagging them for something that needs fixed before they let it get to the customer and they have to have it come back for warranty work which costs them more and negatively impacts reliability scores etc.

I really hope that's the case. I don't want to end up with a defective vehicle that'll always be at the dealer getting repairs. This is my first BMW product.

Once it completes then it has to get shipped and to your dealer, can be 1-3 weeks depending on location in the US - Portland Oregon is about worst case for shipping 2-3 weeks to get to Oxnard CA and maybe another few days on top fo that - I would say end of January would be a good guess.

Welcome to the club, I am 8 days and counting. Called Genius they had no idea and said call dealer.
I did, sales mgr chased BMW reg manager, nobody knows what the hold up is....

Man - I feel bad about complaining - I was in QC for just under 7 days and at the time that was messed-up long... compared to prior weeks, where vehicles had been sailing through QC in under 12 hours, with a few taking a day or two at most. Now it seems like most are spending time there.

Yeah called my CA today — said he'll call the factory on Monday morning and be all like "wtf guys"... not holding my breath that'll I'll get any good info though.

Not sure what the deal is with long time in QC, it can be good or bad...
Was hoping it was just a system issue with website lagging but nope, car is still there.
Better be pristine after 9 days in QC and counting

Tomorrow will be 7 QC days for me. Hopefully my CA will find out more info tomorrow, will keep y'all posted.
