Thanks! I purchased them in Toronto, Canada.

No shortage of winter tires...
Are these GTS 509? 20x9.5" ET 35 all around?
Yup.
Thx! I'll be checking around to see if I can get in the us
One last question. Are these on 50i with m brakes?
40i. But yes, m-brakes.

Thank you. I wonder if the brake rotors are the same between 40 and 50i.

Thanks for your feedback. I did some research around and found this quote from a member:

"After using a performance winter tire the "regular" winter feels very sloppy and mushy. You lose a ton of feeling. It's honestly night and day.. The only people saying they feel the same are those that haven't tried both. The performance winter tires feel exactly like the summers, whereas the regular winters are like having pillows for tires."

I'm undecided right now between the Pilot Alpin and the Pirelli Scorpian.

Yes. I'm really happy with the overall look - pretty good for a winter setup.

Congrats, did you end up buying from your local dealer?

Got them from the tire shop that installed them.

Alternatively, you can get the size of the cap from GTS and order the cap online.

Just talked to the parts Mgr at my BMW center. He informed me the 20" bmw winter wheel pkg is backordered with delivery starting in 4-6 wks and there are already 75 sets ordered. So they won't arrive before end of winter. BMW dropped the ball on this big time. In the meantime - I'm still without winter wheels.

Sounds great. Our X5 50i is in production now. So we'll need to get a set ordered soon. My only remaining question - the test mounting for these wheels looks great. However it's the std caliper. I will have the M brakes. Will these wheels work w those calipers?

Thx in advance for all the info on this winter setup!
I also ordered the M brakes. It will definitely clear the calipers. A 19" setup could be a little tight.
Are these 20 x 8.5" what is the offset?

Hi all,

Thinking of coming back to the BMW fold with a 50i.

When talking to the SA, I mentioned I needed winter wheels but I wasn't about to drop $6800 CAD on a set that would fit. We went over to the parts area and the person there was adamant that the 19", Style 735 set would fit (part 36 11 2 462 592) and said he has put them on two X5's already.

Has anyone here been told the same, or better yet actually have them on their X5 now?

Tire rack guarantees fit on MSW type 48 and also type 49. Several finishes to choose from. If you search on pc it will say none fit. If you do a search on the mobile site it lists these. But you must got 20" or larger. I ordered the 20x8.5" w ET 30 and blizzak dmv2s for our x50i w MSport brakes. They arrive today and having installed Saturday. Will update with a pic when they are on.

If the winter tires come mounted and balanced on the rims from tirerack with TPMS installed, do we need professional installation or can I do it on my own? Would I need to take it to the dealership for alignment?

I’m having mine installed at dealership. Main reason is they are storing my 22” wheels for the winter until they go back on in spring. Then they will store the winter wheels for me.

What do u mean by "storing"? Like keeping them there? Or do u have to do something specific to the wheels? I have tire bags and was planning to keep them in my garage
