Btw, I was largely agreeing with you. My first X5 was a 35i...test drove the 50i and thought it was a ton of fun...but the fuel efficiency sucked and I rarely get a chance to use the power. |

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or arrogant. Having a more powerful vehicle like the 50i can be useful for a variety of reasons: towing, pleasure (who doesn't love the sound of a V8), better power range for daily driving where merging sucks etc. This isn't a lifted 3/4ton pickup riding on 40in tires with enough light bars for a football stadium, that would fit tour description quite well.

I was just wondering why the 50i is not being sold in Germany where 150 mph+ is no issue. on the other hand, at about 7 bucks per gallon of gas here in Germany.... |

Horsepower (and torque) have uses beyond only cruising at any legal speed limit, or lack thereof. I lived in Germany for 4 years and loved driving there. Good road system, fantastic driving laws and driver education. But I would never look down on another country's speed limits as "lame". Even your country uses speed limits on the vast majority of roads. |

Almost April! Don't see the headliner on the configurator yet. In the meantime, I put in an order for the Urus and replaced the X3 for an R8.
Urus seems expensive but it does give the SUV market some speed and I actually like the looks. But with the RSQ8 and X5 Competition package, I may have to reconsider. |
