BMW ConnectedDrive Email Account
In https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com there's an option to setup an email account under Settings/Services/Email Accounts. I have successfully added an account, and the help/FAQ mention this functionality as well under a heading Settings – Use e-mail in your BMW - and there are 12 topics so I'm fairly certain this is supposed to just work.
HOWEVER, nowhere in the iDrive interface does there seem to be a way to see this account or it's content. Am I missing something? |

I am definitely logged in with the same account. I always have been. What I haven’t done is log off in the car and log back in. Perhaps that will make a difference. I will try tomorrow.

Get the connected drive email account to show up in my profile in idrive7.
In so many ways I love my new car, none of them relate to technology. In the technological perspective the developmers are treating us like testers and and we are paying a premium for rendering a service to BMW to troubleshoot and figure out just how many aspects of the new system are not quite ready for the masses. It’s a terrible position for a luxury carmaker to put vocal loyal customers in. I know for a fact and seen and used many other brands technology and it all just works. And you don’t pay a premium or a ridiculous subscription fee for the tech. It’s just there included and working. This reminds me of the debacle with the initial Maserati ghibli and the terrible software it had. As a 28 year BMW loyalist I’m terribly disappointed with connecteddrive idrive7 comfort access and everything related to these. |
