Its good that you found the problem. The coolant tank you noticed dry is for DME and intercooler mainly. Once you started pushing your car and had no fluid in the intercooler, your IATs went though the roof and this is why your car landed in the limp mode. If your DMEs actually over heated, you won't just be suffering from the limp mode, and instead much more serious of an issue.
Im surprised that your coolant went low in the first place. Every time you remove the DME, you have to add fresh fluid and perform bleeding procedure to get all the air out of the fluid. Failing to do so will cause problems down the road due to air bubbles in the system. Now that you have fluid, make sure to perform the procedure Last edited by MissionPerformance; 07-13-2016 at 04:29 PM.. |

Did you remove and reinstall the DMEs yourself? If so, nice job on those hose clamps...they are a pain to properly install and yours look good in the pictures

Got it, well still nice job on the clamps, they look pretty good!
And this is the reason why OBD is the only way to DYNO tune these cars. A long time before we had OBD support, we actually had external bootpin setup so that we never have to remove our DMEs but now that we have OBD, that is really the only way to do it |

Well that's no good, no point of doing so at all. If you are worried about the "flash counter" that people recently started to worry about for some reason, you can get them to make a virgin backup of your ecu, then flash 100+ times over OBD for DYNO days and then use the virgin to go back to stock flash counter with a proper tune... This way your flash counter won't ever change.
OBD is really the only way to DYNO tune Fxx. Bench is completly abosolete and only should be used in emergency cases. Our test cars had over 250 flashes as per counter display. Now with a a press of a button we went back to 2 factory counter, and you can do that as well. |

Good job on posting your on-going issues with your car and showing others "You gotta pay to play" Mod at your own risk. Good job on MissionPerformance for good info and advice. I agree OBD is the way to go |

But, don't you have to open up the ECU's initially like every other tuner out there ? |
