Welcome/Carpet lighting module loose on side skirt

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Washed my car today and when drying it noticed the passenger side skirt welcome light was loose.

It doesn't feel like there is even any double sided tape on it. Is that all that holds it in?

I noticed my driver side front section is loose as well.

Anyone know a way to get it back in without taking off the entire side skirt?

Retape it?

What I did was remove the first 4 or so front rocker panel screws underneath and you can easily access the light. As a quick, and so far lasting, fix I cleaned off the still plugged in top of the light and surrounding area with denatured alcohol and then put 2 pieces of Gorilla tape over the light.

I was finally able to get under the car and fix this. I ended up removing the entire felt undertray and was able to clean and then use Gorrila tape to put it back on. Doesn't look pretty but it's nice and solid now. pretty easy once you pull the under tray off.
