I ordered the carbon look one and it looks like its paint dipped.
Some squares are bigger and other are smaller.
Also not al the squares are square

Looks like the eBay option has faster shipping… only holdup for me is AliExpress has gloss black, carbon look (which seems to be a no go based on posts here), or actual carbon.

I’d like the real CF but eBay doesn’t list it. Messaged the seller to ask.

How did you guys line it up without the guide? Body shop asked me to hold it to the position but It does not look that easy.

Also was the one from Alliexpress fitting right?
Even though I was trying to fit it, there was gap between the lip and bumper so I am not sure it will fit right.

Also, it seems like drilling templet(posted on #40 in this thread) is used as an additional reinforcement to hold the screw better without possibly cracking the bumper, However, it is missing on Alliexpress kit.

I just installed mine yesterday. Fitment is so so but not that bad for $200 . I like the look now, it made the front much better looking now

I will take some more pictures soon.

I attached it with the screws in the middle and double sided tape.
However i put some additional screws just to be sure.

Because the fittment is not 100% and the double side taped will not hold in my opinion

Well just put the front splitter on last night, so letting it sit for the next 24 to 48 hours. Fairly straight forward install. Will take better pics once she's washed up and in good sunlight! Definitely makes the front end meaner looking.

I got the BMW M Performance front splitter from BMWpartsdirect. Fitment and quality was spot on. I had debated about others for sale on various sites, but the wife made the decision for me..........so who was I to argue!

Do you have some additional photos you can share?

I really like the look of this but just concerned about how much it lowers the front end ground clearance. I’m going from a G80 M3 to an X5 and am somewhat looking forward to not having to be so concerned about pulling into parking spots…lol.

Here's a couple of pics and what the ground clearance is. Right at 9-3/8", so not bad compared to what I would imagine your M3 is.

Will post more pics once I have the X5 cleaned up......excuse the work parking lot pic!

My only other concern is about it being carbon fiber since it would be the only bit of CF on the vehicle. Everything else will either be color matched or gloss black. May have to do a gloss black replica version. Hmmm…

I did carbon fiber because I got the carbon fiber mirror caps from the factory. Otherwise I would have gone with gloss black.

I agree! Looks really good. Also wanted to get CF, then decided to go with black one from AliExpress to match black accents on the car. Will post pics when I get it.
