This will help you. In this thread OP installed the tips and he lost One.I have the same tips installed on my 2019 50i around same time. It's a perfect fit and look very aggressive. After reading OP lost One of his tips, I drilled small hole through all tips including the one on SAV to secure them with small screw. They don't rattle and don't move.Problem solved.

Thank you. I just ordered 4 of the tips from Amazon...roughly 23 bucks a pop and will try your idea of drilling a hole. My other thought was to use a little JB Weld on the tip when installing it and letting it bond overnight. Only issue with that is taking it off at a later date.

My G05 is leased. Any modification i do it has to be cost effective and must be easily removable especially if it's non OE, just in case BMW does not accept it at the lease end.

When few of us started doing this mod. the vendor jacked up the price to well over $30. $23 is normal price.

Your exhaust tips came gloss black, or the plastic trim in the bumper was gloss black?

My exhaust came from the factory with the powder coated black exhaust trim like the photo above, nothing to do with add-on actual tips some other folks are doing. Sorry if I confused.

But as is, I have these on as well since May 2019. Paint is not peeling from any of it and, as mentioned, only the middle bar gets hot — you can touch the surrounds after a good run, but not the middle piece. Only wear that I notice is the paint of the middle piece has become matte with the surrounds still glossy — so the heat does have an impact, but at least so far, you have to look pretty close to see it. Overall, the simplicity has been worth it. If/when paint peels, I'll remove them and put new ones on.

Here are some pics:
um,....that doesn't look like an X5M to me.

Bought the stick-on from Amazon and must say the built feels solid and legit. For $30 and took me 10mins or less, I would say go for it.

I added on heavy-duty heat/water resistance double-sided tape to ensure that they stick on well. In addition, wiped down and cleaned the existing chrome pipes with alcohol to remove any dirt/grime. Fit is perfect for the G06 although it says only for G05 and G07 - I took the risk and bought it for the G06 as they look similar.

It has been couple of days and having been through rain and heat, they seem to be holding on well so far ... fingers-crossed! Only gripe is similar to what has already been pointed out - the extra bar to make it AMG-wannabe; would have been perfect had it been exact shape as the original.

Dude, you expressed your opinion and made your point.
Probably time to give it a rest at this point.

Do they not just make a gloss black cover WITHOUT the middle divider? I'm confused

And another. Good luck.

For the record, I've long since (well over a year) debadged the car fully since my mods make it somewhat not quite a stock G05, but I like the M badging pics as they reliably collect the most moronic posters for my ignore collection. Keep it coming, it's very efficient.
