Dark Graphite Metallic

Anyone have pictures of the G05 in dark graphite? Looks like an option for me but pictures are hard to come by.

It's called Sophisto Grey in the UK. I haven't seen many pictures of it but think it's a great colour and it's what we've ordered on our 45e.

The wife and I were about to order the Phytonic Blue, but went to the dealer just to be certain. Saw an Arctic Grey X5 and nearly changed to that until we saw the Sophisto Grey on an X3.

Nice. It really sparkled in the showroom. Can't wait to see it on the car.

Lots of people here have talked about wrapping or painting the wheel arch trim on their xLines. I'm not sure but with this colour the difference is barely noticeable.

I don't know that it's helpful, but you can see some of the difference between these two swatches here. This is clear sky daylight through showroom windows on iPhone X.

My best descriptors would be the dark graphite is pure grey. The arctic has a very small bit of what I'd describe as slate blue in it.

FWIW I decided on arctic for now.

I was at the dealership shopping for arctic gray and came cross an stunning x7 in dark graphite. I'm a lazy car owner. Does this color hide dirt and scratches easily? My gut tells me arctic gray would be an easier color to maintain.

In my opinion it is one of the better looking BMW colours, unfortunately for some reason it is not available in combination with the M-Sport package for G05, as the M-Sport package is a compulsory option for me I had to settle for the Sapphire Black. In Europe the colour is named “Sophisto Grey” and is very popular in 3 and 5 series cars.

Does show dirt. Not sure about scratches yet. Would have gone Alpine White but needed a car immediately and bought off the lot. Really liked how the color matched the wheels.

I went for test drives and also had short listed the Arctic Grey first. But when we saw the Dark Graphite in parking lot in day light next to an Arctic Grey, I changed my mind in an instant.
Arctic Grey has a blueish tinge to it when you see it in day light. Dark Graphite really popped out better. So thats the color we are going with paired with Poplar wood and Coffee Brown leather.

to each his own, I say. I was surprised at the amount of blue that comes out in AG, but being a Hoya, blue and grey speak to me!

Two things I don't understand.

1) Why is Dark Graphite Grey only avail for Xline?
2) Why is 744 only available for Xline?

A90 Dark Graphite Metallic isn't considered a BMW Individual Manufaktur paint color and can't be custom ordered on M Sport models. Individual Manufaktur paints are either:

SABI ($1950) - SABI paintworks are available to order within the configurator and can be selected just like normal production paint finishes. Example SABI paints include: C3Z Tanzanite Blue II and X1B Ametrin Metallic

490 ($5500++) - Special request paintworks use the generic code 490. Example G05 490 paints include: Limerock Grey, Grigio Telesto, British Racing Green

Blame BMWNA product planning and the paint options this gen is a bit piss poor with no light/medium grey or silver.

Unless wheels are categorized M Sport they're relegated to xLine. You could always add them post purchase for $$$!

You could always go for broke with BMW Individual Manufaktur Gunmetal Metallic ($5500 special paint option)

NEW individual X5's (Atlantis Blue and Gun Metal Metallic) https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1797294
