They mention "normal" exhaust pipes and show them, but I thought I've seen them with the stupid shaped ones as well. Are the pipes different with the different models?

tweedle dumb and tweedle dee. You can keep them both. Front wheel drive; I might as well drive a ford or chevy.

The germans run the risk of harming their name plates. But, then again, BMW doesn't seem to care about that since they are putting ugly giant grills on most of their new cars (interesting to me is that while BMW leadership defends the ugly grills, they don't put them on their signature 8 series).

Yes the M235i has the shaped ones, similar to other M-performance models.
