They got me the ZBEI - Ivory White/Night Blue Full Merino Leather but now I can't add XD5 - BMW Individual Alcantara Roofliner that will work perfectly with the interior. How can I make this work? I see people in the US is getting that option so I don't think it's a production problem. Thanks in advance. |

Leave Advantage... I tried with them 3 times and I ended up getting the cars from somewhere else every time, I gave them a shot again yesterday and useless... 4th time when I tried to get something from them and it was just a waste of time.

Tartufo leather available in Canada but not USA?
Is the Tartufo leather available for Canadian orders on the X5, but not in the USA? I was just on the Canadian BMW site and was able to build an X5 with the Tartufo leather, but that leather option is not available on the USA site.
Thanks. |

BMW USA stopped offering Tartufo and several other interior choices towards the end of the 2019 production run. Rumor has it that it will be offered again starting with April 2020 production.

I think this rumor has been debunked with the news that the 40i will not get DHP like our European counterparts. That was the origin of the rumor, assuming if EU got it, then US will too.

Where did you see that Tartufo, Canberra and Cognac will not be coming back in April? Unless the Canadian ordering guide was recently updated they are still scheduled for April. Unless they will offer them in Canada and not the US but that seems unlikely.

I just remember that for the 2019, the order guide had all the SOPs listed for the different options all the way through April 2019. I thought it was a stretch to assume that the US market would get the leathers because the US order guide doesn't show any SOPs for any other leather options. Just based on how a lot of people assumed that the US 40i would get DHP, and now people hearing from BMW NA that it will not, I'm just extrapolating that fact. Mostly conjecture on my part. I think that if the US was getting these leather options, the order guide would show the SOPs. Just like the 2019 did for Bowers & Wilkens, etc. It's almost the end of 2019, if the US were getting new leather options, even if it was April 2020, I'm sure dealers would know about it by now.

Yeah - I guess we'll see. I would just assume BMW would update the order guide to show that, like they did for 2019. No real reason not too, IMO.

Edit: This is not correct. I just found an Order Guide dated 9/18 that had the SOP options listed. |

The order guide I have is from Sept 2018 and it showed SOPs for a bunch of options in 04/19. See attached.

They weren't correct in September though since they were changed/finalized in December so we have some hope the same thing will happen. |

Thanks everyone for your replies.
What gives BMW? I checked and I can order an X5 with Tartufo extended merino leather in Canada (60-90 days deliver) but not in the USA. Does anyone know why this would be the case? The reason I was given in the past for Tartufo not being available was that it was quality issue with the seats. Has anyone bought a BMW in Canada for use in the USA? Thanks again. |

TurtleBoy, and others, so I'm about to finalize my order tomorrow, but I'm anxious US Dec builds might include the following: DHP for the 40i, new leathers, and M seats. However, it seems from the recent posts above, that these options (if to be available) would be listed already in the US ordering guides (SOP Dec).
So bottom line, that BMW press release referencing these new options was likely not applicable to the US. I'd be pissed with myself if these options were available next month and I just didn't wait.

Carbon Black over coffee or Tanzanite Blue over coffee I think CBM complaints the coffee better, but I had TBM before and absolutely loved it! However I'm feeling cheap!! Haha Never had CBM before, and maybe nice to try, but never been sold on it in years past. Hmmm...

Love both colors with TB2 being more unique, but CBM would compliment coffee a bit better.

Any confirmed updates with December production that are worth waiting for? I thought I read about 48v system and maybe new seating options but a lot of confusion around which markets are getting what.

My dealer reached out to see if I was interest in shopping an early lease trade in for a new lease. I told him I was interested in the X5. I built one on BMWUSA.com and sent him the build for a quote.
The reply I received today was, "I was unexpectedly out for the past few days, and things have changed dramatically on the X5. They have stopped production on the M Sport models for at least the remainder of the year." Is this true? The dealer provided me with a few on the lot, I didn’t like any of the color combo’s with the build. I found an M50i model that was pretty close to what I want so asked for a quote on this, which is below. Feedback welcome 2020 BMW X5 M50i: MSRP: 86725 Discount: 8672 Incentives/Rebates: 2250 Money Factor: .00093 Down Payment: $0 Term: 36 months Mileage: 10k/year MSD Pymt Due upfront: 6650 Sales Tax Due upfront: 2949 state tax, 335 tax on fees/rebates, 323 luxury tax (in payment) Any fees Due upfront: 925 bank fee, 599 document fee, 199 nitrogen, 389 estimated DMV, 923 first month payment Monthly payment would be the $923 mentioned above. Deal doesn't look good to me... Last edited by Trouble15; 11-27-2019 at 06:15 PM.. |

First I heard of it. Are you maybe wanting a 50i in MSport? If so, that was dropped at the beginning of the model year.
