just FYI... my OEM BMW mat from 2009 x5 just fine and looks very good in my 2019 X5
I didn't have an X5 before but that's good to hear. I'd rather get the new one since the style is certainly different from 10 years ago.

The description is misleading. It fits perfectly without the 3rd row seat or luggage option.

Don't forget to use your BMWCCA discount.
How do you use the BMWCCA discount at the dealer? I see no reference to it on the discounts section of their website.

I guess my dealer isn't a participating member so that's probably why

It’s up to the dealer, I think but all I did was aske mine and they said yes. Actually I asked two and got two different percentages but both were giving the discount. Fifteen percent from one and twenty from the other.

Yeah mine doesn't at least they told me no. I ordered the mats from bmwpartswholesale.com along with the self centering wheel inserts.

no worries, I live in an area where they would rather tell you to "f off" than actually sell something

getbmwparts.com is a good source for parts and accessories. Operated by MileOne BMW of Silver Spring MD. Discounted prices for everyone.

They've been alright in the past. I've certainly had some great and bad experiences with their service but continue ordering from them for convienence.

I have the same one but got it online. The mat was folded during shipping and seems to be flattening out just fine thus far

Quick question about the OEM BMW cargo mat for this generation. Is it of the same quality as the front and rear rubber mats? I have the cargo "liner" from the previous generation, it fits but I never liked it because it was so "thin."

Any comparison feedback would be welcomed.

Any idea why these areas are raised? Is there something underneath them?

If you're looking for best quality go to Lloyds Mats. Great fit, weight, and quality....several weight/thickness options.

I have the BMW branded mat and I believe those areas are raised for any liquid spills that may occur to keep them contained on the mat. Just a thought.

A slim perimeter ridge would provide containment for liquid, it seems these, especially the big ones near the tailgate, take up a lot of space that would prevent cargo from sitting flat.

This. They could probably have been made smaller, but these protect the (potential) anchor cutouts from leaking liquid under the mat. And yes, they do prevent objects lying flat, but I suppose the BMW engineers factored that into a compromise - wet floor or raised mat. I think WeatherTech's may be "flatter."

Ok, gotcha, thanks. I agree, the two near the tailgate are a little large, wonder why they aren't the same size as the ones just behind the seats? ich weiß es nicht

BMW Cargo mat

The BMW cargo mat sucks..... the raised corners have warped in the Florida heat ~ it now slides around now that it doesn’t fit snuggly. I’m thinking I need to replace it with a weather tech mat
