By seeing these pictures I'm again in serious doubt about keeping the M-sport badge on the side skirts.

The extended shadowline was added later to the order.
I have asked for delivery next Friday since I am on a business trip to the US next week and will be back in Belgium next Friday.
Didn’t had a look into the trunk, because car was parked to close to the wall.

So I had a nice weekend with the misses and on monday before returning the car I did Some final “testing” on the German autobahn (only 1 hour drive). I couldn’t go further than 215kph ( 135mph) due to too much traffic, but it was still going strong at that speed
How would you compare the inside of the X5 vs the Series 7? Someone told me the X5 matched the Series 5, and I disagreed, I think the X5 matches the series 7 for interior quality and tech... Same for series 8 -- in fact, I was mildly disapointed with the the series 8 loaner I had, compared to the X5. Only thing I missed was 4 wheel steering -- I thought that was WAY cool and I'll definitely take it on my next car.

Our X5 is still 90 days away, so the only comparison I can make is with sitting in the dealership in an X5. But yes they seem very similar. The screens and software seem exactly the same, as the seats. I should search for some 5 series pictures to compare
I always thought the X series are a step up from the “normal” series

Very quiet and a smooth transition between electric and petrol. The six'er runs well too.

More than enough power. I have a Ghibli also and do not feel the X5 to be slow at all.

It is about 5 degrees outside now and the car is reporting a range of 65 km. I did drive about 75km on electric power last week.

Regarding charging time;

The battery is 18.5kwh

I have installed a charger at home with 16 amp.

With 230V at 16 amp - it charges with 3.68kwh, i.e about 5 hours for a full charge.

This what I was told by our dealer. Nevertheless, it is the range that matters and doing more than 70km serves our needs. Obviously it will be less during winters.

It's been steady at 21.58 kW net on the German site as well as their price list PDF.

Impressive, the cars look amazing. Pardon my lack of knowledge on the x45e, as father of two toddlers it is difficult to always be in the know…

I researched it quickly on the USA site but there is no mention of it there. I’ll venture to one of the many international BMW sites to find out more.

What is the performance like? Is electric mode independent or does it work in sync with the gas motor? Pardon if these are simple questions.

Thank you
