You are welcome - delivery will be End of April 2020... Unfortunately more I am not allowed to tell, cause I had to sign an agreement to not disclose any details to anyone else... But I can tell you, it is worth waiting, and a totally different 'animal' than the M50i, lookwise and techniqwise (under a sporty view)

Very helpful info Jamal, thank you. Now I just have to find a vehicle for my wife to drive until the X5M arrives.

April 2020 delivery? At that point, I would then wait for the 2021 model year.

April 2020 may be for Europe, should be a little sooner in the US as they are produced here. Total guess on my part.

I drove the M50i and was good until I drove the X3M and you can tell the difference.

I owned both X5M and X6M and I love it.

I strongly considering getting X5M for mine self

Did the M50i you drove have DHP?

Look at the X5 hydrogen concept revealed at this weeks Frankfurt autoshow, that's the front of the upcoming X5M. Competition package seats will be like the M8 two tone (saw them in person in Arjeplog- engineers did a poor job of covering with a jacket). M8 V8 engine.

I came over from a F15 50i DHP to F85– Wow, the F85 defies physics. The full on M treatment takes it to supermodel status.

Seems odd that a 2020 model would be delivered in April. Are you sure it isn't a 2021 model?

I think he is located in Europe.
X3M was announced in April and was available in the States end of June / Early July.
It was recently release in Europe (Early September).

Considering X5M will be announce early October, I would expect the same. Available Early January (or maybe a bit later because of holidays in the US). That would make European release (including Asia) to be around April. (Still a 2020 model, similar to F90 M5 release)

I've been toying with the idea of selling my 2018 X5M, since it's my wife's car and she never takes advantage of the performance/handling of the beast! Lol

I was all set on ordering an X5 M50i w/DHP & 22" (among other options) and negotiated a very aggressive deal, but last Fri I was finally able to test drive an M50i at another dealership (albeit without DHP and wearing 20" no-seasons) and I was not very impressed. I'm sure the M50i would have been fine for me had I not been used to my X5M. So I pulled my order. I know I will want the F95, but the price, and the fact that my wife hasn't even programmed her M buttons after 13 months of ownership, is going to be a tough sell.

Very possible that the F95 X5M will be delivered in April 2020 as a 2020 model. I took delivery of my F85 X5M in April 2015 as a 2015 model.

Any hint on the price compared to an M5 Comp?

Would have to pull the trigger on a 2020 F90 (EUR 128k MSRP in Germany) next week, but if the X5M might be in the same price range (+5-10k MSRP), I might as well just wait for it.

In Australia traditionally the X5M's are cheaper than the M5's. They also need to compete and be under Mercedes GLE63S and GLS63S. Not sure if this is similar in your country but you can probably do some digging and extrapolate.

it's a bummer since you'll already be losing an entire year when you get it delivered half-way.

Pretty sure they have traditionally been really close ... to where a few options makes the difference ... I'm in the same boat. I basically see the X5M as the M5 wagon with a slight lift and ability to tow a track car ...

Let's hope for the best!
I was always against the M cars, but the F90 got me good (with a few compromises); F95 would get me satisfied.

FYI: Visited the dealer today, "not an official info", but X5M and X6M orders can be placed from the beginning of December (in Hungary).
Dealers will get pricing and guides in 1-2 week.
