Does anyone have a permanent fix to this? Sometimes my drive recorder would be malfunctioned and resetting iDrive is the only way to reboot it. I added the drive recorder widget to the home screen so I know if it's functioning or not. Might make an appointment to the dealer to get that fixed. I'm on .55.

Mine stops working too. The only way to know that app has crashed is to try to record and then there is an error message. At this point a reboot is the only way to fix the issue.

Bit stupid for a ‘safety feature’ as it will most likely not be working when you most need it

Yeah. That's what I'm most afraid of. Drive recorder defeats the purpose of having a dash cam. I have to always check if it's working before I drive. Kinda annoying. I'll see if the dealer has a solution.

That would be useful. I spoke to my ‘genius’ here in the UK. He had never even seen the feature and didn’t know how it worked in practice. Wast of time conversation
