They will try but it will not be totally invisible. I would have them try before getting a new windshield.

They might give it a go, your dealer might even give it a go and you can too, if you want to. You buy the kit and it basically forces (sucks) clear epoxy into the cavity left by the impact. Problem is that once the spider web starts, as I see a little in yours, it still may propagate outward with vibration, bumps, etc. If someone is successful in filling it, you will still see it, just don't want you to think it will be invisible.
I've used a kit similar to this one and it worked for me but every crack is different.. .. https://www.amazon.com/Windshield-Re...a-814082113907 If it were my windshield, I'd try it and then when you get the next one, you can have it replaced. |

Rule of thumb is that if a crack can be covered by a dollar bill, insurance companies prefer to fill the hole instead if replacing the windshield. |

if you have HUD, you will need OEM according to the dealership. I had Geico before and they refused to give me OEM. I now have Progressive and they've replaced all our glass with OEM because all ours have HUD.

Oh, I was assuming he meant they were coming to his house to fill the void, not replace the windshield. Hmmmm

Currently dealing with this myself...similar impact result to my X5M windshield. I first attempted to have it repaired, but I must of had too high an expectation that the repair would be near perfect. Think again...$2544 for new OE windshield/parts at dealer. Scheduled for this Thurs. GL

Just wait till it starts growing and let it migrate to larger than what a dollar bill can cover and you'll be looking at a new windshield. If the glue didn't reach to the end of the star points, it will probably grow as you drive over bumps, potholes, etc.
