1,200 Mile Run In Service

I will soon have this first service done.

I know they change the oil and filter and the rear differential fluid. I believe the vehicle requires a different differential fluid than the non M vehicles. What is the correct fluid?
When I schedule the service, I'd like to confirm that the dealer has the correct fluid available. I believe the fluid below is it. Thanks

So nobody here knows which rear differential fluid was used when you had the 1,200 mile service performed?

Sorry not me. I just trust the M techs to do their thing.

I asked but was told it would blow my mind. With hearing that I weighed my options and decided to keep my mind intact....

Seriously never thought to ask! Not till at least free service runs out.

I've owned several M cars in the last decade and I haven't ever had any issues with the service dept putting the wrong differential fluid. I say just let them do what they need to do instead of reminding/telling them what needs to get done.

At delivery, my dealership advised me to check to make sure they have the correct fluid before I bring the car in for the 1200 mile service.
I was hoping someone who had it done could look at the invoice and let me know the part # and amount used. It would be on the invoice.
Also what else they did at this service.
Thanks

Are you using a different location than your dealer to get service done?

They may have told you to call ahead before coming in so your car doesn’t sit long at service waiting for fluid that they don’t have in inventory.

The only thing that the dealer constantly reminds me on every M car I bought was to make sure I get the car in for service before or at 1200 miles and not over 1200 miles.

Go to an M certified dealership garage instead of worrying about the oils. They tend to be more knowledgeable and thorough...I think!

ill see what my receipt says.. had it done a few weeks ago.. my initial thoughts are its different than what came with it. I Think the really try to break things in so it would make sense to change it at an early interval...
