The X5 M is ridiculously quick

I was at a stoplight earlier this morning in the center lane when I remembered we needed paper towels. The right I needed to take to HEB was at the next stop light so I popped it in sport and when the light turned green jumped out to pass the car next to me.

With the car still floored, I signaled to get in the right lane when I caught the truck I'd passed roaring up quick. So, I just let off the gas and slipped in behind it as it roared by.

We stopped at the next light and since the truck wasn't turning right I got to sit for the full 60 seconds looking at the X5 M badge on the back.

Waiting for someone on the forum to jump in and say "that was me in the X5M"

that was not me but it sounded like fun. Life requires a floored accelerator from time to time.

Some people, not saying poster is one, don’t know to always keep the RPMs in the power band range, ~4K++, then complain it doesn’t have enough power when they floor it from 2k rpm’s. Really it has to do with gear selection and being in the right gear and rpm range to experience full power. Of course the turbos will compensate for the driver being in the wrong gear in the wrong rpm range, to some extent.

Wasn't me as I just took delivery of my F95 last Thursday, but it sure sounds like something I did with my previous tuned F97.

I had complete Dinan S2 both of my F85 and never utilized any of the extra power but it sure did sound good. On the F95 I would only swap out the exhaust to make it a touch louder and more attractive at WOT.
