Tire pressure cold

Does anyone know what temperature on iDrive BMW meant for cold tire pressure 36/39 PSI? I noticed with this cold weather nowadays, it is 1-2 psi below the door sticker, though pressure rises when i drive the car , same for temperature.

It's my understanding of tire pressure that what is on posted on the door label is at cold temp. But I don't know if they meant 0 or neg degrees. lol

when i filled it up the idrive temp was 45F and +1 PSI from sticker (37/40). Now when i start my car temp is 32F or less on iDrive and pressure is - 1 to -2 PSI.
The confusing part should I go fill another +2PSI at that temp or no need

Typically it's not considered to be a "low tire" until its 10 PSI under the recommended.

You've simply seen a drop due to ambient temps. You'll likely see that come up as ambient temps come up.

I was told on a tour of the VPC in Oxnard that BMW considers cold temp for checking tire pressures to be 68°F.
So at lower temps, the tire pressure will read lower. Same if the tire temp is warmer than 68°, the pressure will be higher. Of course this applies only if the temp of tire is 68°.

So then we have 6 days each year to fill tires in South Florida. Good to know.

Cold means temp of tires in your ambient cold.
