Why is there no LED Sky lounge option for x6m comp in the US?

I am a bit upset. While building out an x6m competition there is no added options for an illuminating kidney grill nor the panoramic led skylight lounge which illuminates at night. What gives? and How can I get one?

Is it strange & possibly irritating - yes.

Is it a showstopper - not at all IMO.

I have no idea, although weird since there are many other markets that have X5M & X6M's with the illuminated roof glass. Possibly to contain costs to the US consumer, although these cars are easily & typically $115 - 126k-ish before taxes. Again I don't know and I'm taking shots in the dark here.

No comment on the illuminated kidneys, to each their own, and that's all I'll say...

Honestly, I didn't find much value in having the panoramic sky lounge in my B7 and I don't miss it on my X6MC.

Now, if the panoramic sky lounge was an ever changing map of the constellations in the sky, that will be totally awesome.

Haha that would be awesome! I did the bmw x6m comp build today to send to my lease guy and disappointed that for a $125k msrp the sky lounge isnt an option.

I see you're in New Jersey, I am in New York. How were you able to get the sky lounge in your X6MC?

Or the ability to display custom GIF's on the Sky Lounge, uploaded through the ConnectedDrive app like such

The sky lounge was in my B7. I just traded that in for an X6MC last Monday.

I’m used to stiff rides so this is a very welcome change for me. Love the interior as well. I’ve had a 2016 X6M and this one is miles ahead of that one.

sky lounge looks pretty bad ass! This is first time im seeing it, i didn't even know it was an option for this model.. i guess just not an option for north American market.. pitty!! but that's just because im an LED whore!
