I've noticed this noise ever since I got the car when I turn my wheels. I'm starting to think this is not normal, any idea what is causing this? Anyone else having this issue?

Absolutely without a shadow of doubt NOT normal. Jack the front up, remove both front wheels and have a look. Start the car and have someone turn the steering wheel while you sit at the wheel and look. If you are not sure what you are looking at, post another video with the wheels off. You've got an problem somewhere.

Have your dealer take a look at it, as Marty said that is not normal. Does it ride rough? They may have left the shipping blocks in it, assuming they are used on air suspension vehicles.

As other mentioned, NOT normal at all. I do have one question, if you don’t do dry steering, does the sound still exist? Meaning if you let the car move forward slowly, like maneuvering in parking lot kind of driving, does the same sound exist. Also try slowly reverse and do the same steering input, see if sound still exist?

Is your parking brake engaged by any chance while you’re doing that?

I've noticed the same thing on my M60i today. I read this post yesterday and wanted to see if the same thing happens on mine and it does. I just started up the vehicle and reversed out of my garage and while it was parked in my driveway i noticed the squealing as i turned the wheel left and right all the way. But it doesnt happen while driving. Only when parked, and so far I've only tried it on a cold start, have yet to try it after driving the vehicle for a bit.

Or auto hold which in essence does the same, e.g., engage the parking brake automatically but releases when you move the car forward or reverse. Only issue I've had with the wife's LCI 40i is auto hold is a bit aggressive vs on my M850i.

The wife uses a back up assistant setting I created to get her out of the garage and pointing in the right direction to leave the neighborhood. I'm with her every morning in the garage to say bye when she leaves and haven't heard any of that type of noise as the car turns the wheels on the programmed path.

My car is usually on auto hold when i start the car but I always turn it off before I reverse out of a parking spot or before I put it in drive as I dont like the jerky motion from a standstill. I prefer the car to be rolling on its own. Anyways I tried it again this evening while going home. After I turned on the car I turned the wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right and it still made the same sound. But this only occurs when the vehicle is at a standstill and not in motion. I tried the same thing as the vehicle was rolling slowly and there was no sound whatsoever.

It's the tie rods. I had them recently replaced on my 2021 X7 (air) when I took it in for servicing. I too had the same problem since I picked it up new. In fact, when I took it in for the first service the shopforman immediately dismissed it as normal. He said I could take a look at his F150 that supposedly made a similar noise. His reasoning was "what do you expect when the vehicle (X7) weighs so much..."

A few years later I ended up finding similar posts of other BMW models suffering from the same problem. Took it in for the third service and again a different dealer shopforman dismissed the issue as normal noise from brake system and kept blaming on auto hold. Asked me if the vehicle had been in a collision - never been hit. He raised the vehicle inspecting it for any damage; he could not find any. Luckily the service advisor was more willing to listen after I brought up the service bulletin. BMW only last year released a bulletin addressing "creaking/cracking noise" and a lot of models are listed including the G05 (X5).

You have to keep pushing them in order to have them address the problem. Much easier if you have the SIB on hand.

To me it sounds like your parking brake may be engaged and by moving your front wheels you are pushing back against the brakes causing the creaking as its trying to hold your car in place.
Are you on a downhill/incline?

Yup I showed the bmw technician and he also immediately dismissed it as normal and said all of their cars make the same noise, and that it's from the brakes since auto hold is engaging the brakes as someone here described. I had a loaner X3 and it did not have the same noise when turning with the brakes.
