When I first picked up my 23 X5M Comp, 22 Build, my heads-up display identified all red light and speed cameras. At least in NYC. Then one day the warnings stopped appearing. I don't recall uploading any updates to the I Drive, but maybe it happened automatically. Anyway, does anyone know how to get it back? These $50 tickets are a nuisance. Any help would be appreciated. And for those who suggest I just slow down, well you know......

You probably had a trial subscription and it expired at some point. You can go back to the connected drive store and re-subscribe but you’ll have to pay $25/year.

it’s only a trial period with new vehicles. likely unaware it expired. renewal required

I just bought a new 24 X5 and my traffic camera subscription is 1 month, then 25/year.

I had the 1 month trial too but didn’t find it useful enough to subscribe. Has anyone here (other than OP) found it useful? I never tried this, but does it work when using apple maps for navigation?

red light cameras usually have a sign, but it’s still nice to get a notification ahead of time. i especially like how it catches these newer speed cameras that’ve been popping up in our area

i get my warnings in the HUD which still show when Apple Maps is active

You need to resubsricribe for a year, then you need to go to your idrive, apps, click the option button on the console and chose update data - after which you'll have a new app that I think called traffic camera warning, or something to that extent. If it doesn't work, you will need to hold the volume button for 60 second to restart the whole idrive system, and try again.

As others have said you need to subscribe. I feel your pain. I'm in one the outer NYC boroughs and these damn speed cameras are out of control. In addition to adding them like crazy, they are moving them. I noticed a new camera that went up, but my car doesn't recognize it. Does anyone know what feeds the info to the car?

And as far as slowing down, They reduced the speed limit on the main road by me from 40 mph to 30 mph since the cameras went up. Ridiculous....
