LCI taillight conversion?
Does anyone know if LCI F95 taillights are compatible with pre-LCI models? I want to put those on my ‘21.

MIA_F80 and I have been talking bout this since they announced the LCI. He said there may be some coding involved since the taillights have an animation now.

First time I actually see a side by side picture and they do appear to be of similar size, but I agree that seeing them like this I do prefer the LCI ones.

They "look" to be the same size and the rear end as well as the tailgate hasn't really changed. But hard to know for sure until someone actually take order of the LCI and does it. Also as to what Wtfitzvi mentioned, you'll probably have to do some coding to match the new animation.

I've done the LCI tail light swap on my E92 M3 and E70 X5, so I definitely want to do this on my F95 X5M.

Looks like the same exact size. I plan to do this swap when the lights are available. The M5 guys has been doing the same upgrade and seems straight forward.

Yea, they most certainly will fit. Similar to retrofitting x3m3 pre LCI and m5 Pre LCI. BMW keeping the rear the same sizes, but def changing completely in the front. For sure there’s minor coding involved.

I checked with my SA: "Per ETK MG03, a retrofit taillight kit is not offered. Please be advised BMW of NA does not advise on non-approved retrofitting."
I'm pretty confident BMW will come out with a retrofit kit (like they did for the E92 and E70) , but it will most likely take some time.
