I have an extended service package and am sick of taking out my JB before I get n oil change. The pins get so much unnecessary wear. Will they care if I leave it in? I leave the pedal tuner in all the time and they have never said anything.

I never removed my JB4 before service on any of my cars; all were leased.

I disconnect the OBD so they can connect the BMW software. Upon returning the car, the rep always reconnects the JB4 OBD for me.

As long as they don't do the full scan on the computer you'll be fine.

Even if they don't do a scan, they can see it, and I have never had any problems.

I think the dealership will only give you a hard time if you ask them for a free warranty repair on damage caused by your upgrade.

I think it depends on the dealer.. some service reps are complete assholes and some aren't. It just depends.

Agree, i always make sure i have a good relationship with my service advisor and i always ask for the same rep.

Being nice when dealing with people always help , and a $20 tip when picking up the car does not hurt either
