Exhaust tips on an m50
Anyone done it?
I’m wondering what size tips I’d need to buy. Also curious if anyone knows where I could get high quality tips….. I’m guessing can take the tips to a muffler shop and they can install? Any advice? |

Not sure if you are going for the muffler delete, but this is a good thread.. The items I used are on page 10, and you will find some sound clips as well https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1714383

Assuming you are going to remove the OEM trim piece (metal exhaust tip), I believe you can fit up to 4'' aftermarket tips without getting too close to the plastic bumper trim. If you're going to keep the OEM trim piece in place, I had previously used Daycar black coated polished tips from Amazon on the OEM pipes. Length is 5.5 inches and diameter is 2.75 inches.
