Just had my ER secondary cat delete installed and car sounds marginally louder. From the inside it is hard to tell much difference, maybe a little bit louder at higher RPMs. But unless you've driven it everyday probably wouldn't be noticeable. From the outside it is a bit louder as well, but again not a major sound difference. I think this is on par with the size of the replaced part (secondary downpipe) but I have heard will make a difference in total when adding a new exhaust. I guess every small part counts.
In the end I am now convinced that to make this car sound better a new exhaust (cat back or full) OR both down pipes are needed.
