I acquired her in summer of 2021 after receiving news my beloved Grand Cherokee would need $7k in work. Part of me believes it was the dealer trying to recoup losses in the service department due to COVID but who knows. It was a routine oil change (prepaid and covered) and then I got the call for additional work needed to make sure she’s road capable…still one of my favorite cars despite the fact that I wasn’t initially thrilled about the color or engine (V6). Love grows as they say.
Back to the whip! Thanks for this forum and several members along the way, I’m pleased with the outcome. Any questions, feel free to PM me. Here are the mods in order of acquisition: - CF mirror covers - OEM room rack - Racechip Black GTS - Maxton Design front lip - JC Sportline CF interior trim - Bowers Wilkins illuminated speaker covers - Carismo CF steering wheel - Carbahn ( replaced Racechip; find it smoother between shifts@ WOT) - KWV3 coil over suspension; second to lowest setting with default dampening. - Dinan spacers (15mm front and 20mm rear) |

Beautiful man!
No tryin' to hate on the GC, but just comparing the photos side by side... there is zero comparison in ride. BMW allllllll the way... Class, Look, and every thing before, after and between lol |

Ha, definitely no comparison between the two would be fair. The KWs have been very impressive and have eliminated the initial body roll going into sharp turns. I thought the ride would be much harsher but that’s not the case.

I'm not the biggest fan of (gloss)black wheels, but you did it right going with satin black and the design, they work perfect with your build and white exterior. Congrats and enjoy! |

Thanks, the steering wheel has been one of my favorite upgrades. I’ve ordered the rear CF winglets to accentuate the rear wheels. Going to lower it just a tad more in a week (coilovers). Thinking F95 soon.

After driving around a bit, I've decided not to lower the rear. I like the athletic stance the vehicle has at this time vs a slammed look.
Next mod coming is an eventuri intake. Stay tuned! Also ordered the F95 intake resonator tubes for better airflow. |

Let us know if that Eventuri works out and any mods needed to be done to get it on the M50i.

B&W was a lot of work and truthfully, I ended up only swapping out the fronts. I found removing (by cutting out the stock speaker assembly) the front was frustrating and I gave up. I did upgrade the speakers though (without the covers) and the sound is really good. Richer than HK.
I’m also running Carbahn (which uses racechip hardware but with Steve Dinan tune. I think the hp numbers are higher with racechip but I find the shifts much sharper and smoother when pushing the engine with Carbahn. Last edited by PNWM50I; 10-11-2023 at 11:43 PM.. |
