July Software update

New (minor) Issue..
I recently had my car updated to the July S/W release, since then I stopped getting the "Favourite" item in the NAV options screen (see pic below. This is when it was showing prior to the upgrade). Is anyone else experiencing this issue? or know how to resolve it? Thanks.

I apologise if you have, but did you try re programming your favourites? I remember the option did not show up for me until I actually listed addresses as favourites. Perhaps the upgrade reset some things?

Right. The Nav needed some attention after the 7/2019.39 upgrade.

So I'm at the BMW dealership having the Latest software installed and they informed me of a recall on the "air duct" for my G05 50i.
Anybody else have this issue/recall?

Auto high beams work just fine.
Not sure about the lane change warning, I typically look before I leap.

Maybe, mine hasn't been back to my dealer since delivery. Let me know what this air duct recall is. One member had a screw puncture his conditioning unit from a manufacture error. His ac would drip into the car. I wonder if this could be it?

What part did they replace? I had an issue with my 4 zone climate control where the rear left half (both b pillar and center console) would blow opposite the rest of the car. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

My paperwork from the dealership states the following:
"Perform B110419 Service Action: N63M Engines - Check and Replace the Fresh Air Intake Duct"
Haven't noticed a difference with the climate control (yet) since the repair.

Thanks TSMC55. I tried what you suggested, but still the Favourite list from my Connected APP did NOT sync with the car. However, I was able to add my current location in the Nav as a Favorite and now the Favorite item shows in the Nav Menu. But only displays favourites set from the car.
Can you confirm that you have your Favorites working correctly with S/W ver 7/2019.39. Thanks

The July release (07/2019.39) is proving to be a real issue for me...

I got in this morning to go to work, and I have the error – “Driver assistance restricted”.

Along with this error, the following things no longer work:
1. Driver assistance, including no REVERSING CAMERA, no speed limit monitoring or support, no Active Cruise Control (ACC).
2. The radio does not work at all, it says “no inputs”.
3. The control buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel don’t work, including voice input button, volume buttons, phone..nothing…
4. The Instrument cluster change of display functions do not work (top button on the left hand stalk)

Has anyone else had the same experience?

Any August or Sept built here with software 07/2019.39? I want to know when you picked up the car was there any issues with the software that are mentioned here? My pick up is in 2 weeks and I am feeling anxious just by thinking that brand new car will have these issues on 07/2019.39.

My X5 was built in August and it has 07/2019.35. When I picked it up the 3D Remote view didn't work but now it's working fine. That's the only issue I've had but I'm not sure I've tried everything. ACC, DAP, active lane change and such all work fine.

Mine was built mid July with 03/2019.60, was updated in mid August to July/2019.39 to fix Car Play issues. Everything works great.

Just got updated to 07/2019.47 30 minutes ago, and everything seems to be working so far, though I had a bit of a scare as active driver assist did not seem like it wanted to slow down at first. It seemed to work on the second go, but not confidence inspiring.

The center of the instrument cluster (with map view off and route view on) shows the the grid and road as the active driver assist video shows, but I didn't see my car, highlighted lanes, etc. It might be because of the mode I was in when trying active driving. Will have to test later. But, the instrument cluster display is definitely different.

A couple additional updates:
- Caring Car is listed as an app but nothing happens when I select the icon (touch of idrive controller). I can tell BMW I'm tired and iDrive will turn on the vitalize mode, so there is something there, but the app doesn't work properly.
- I have the screen for the active driving assist animation but no option to turn it on under driving settings.
- There is no Experience Mode app

More as I learn what's working and not working.
